Amazon is reportedly planning to launch a cheaper subscription to its music streaming service to stay competitive with rivals including Spotify and Apple Music.

The Amazon logo is seen on the new logistics center of online merchant Amazon in France. Amazon is a major presence in online retail overseas, with the United Kingdom, German and Japan being its largest non-U.S. markets.

According to Recode, Amazon not only wants to launch a subscription tier where users can stream unlimited songs for $10 a month, but a second option available only through its Echo speaker costing $4 to $5 a month.

The services would launch next month, according to the report, although Amazon is still working out deals with music publishers.

The move would give Amazon several options for music streaming. The company already offers Amazon Music to subscribers of its Amazon Prime service, which costs $99 a year.

Earlier this year, Amazon broke off its Amazon Video subscription to allow customers to sign up for it as a standalone option, offering it for $1 a month less than rival Netflix.
