Sergei Bobrovsky, Braden Holtby, Carey Price named Vezina Trophy finalists

Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky is one of three finalists for the Vezina Trophy.

The three finalists for the NHL's Vezina Trophy, given to the league's best goaltender as voted on by the general managers, were announced on Saturday.

They are: Sergei Bobrovsky, Braden Holtby and Carey Price.

Bobrovsky, the starter for the Columbus Blue Jackets and 2013 winner of the award, led the NHL with both a 2.06 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. Bobrovsky was second in wins with 41 (41-17-5), including seven shutouts, as Columbus posted the most points in franchise history with 108.

Holtby, the Washington Capitals starter and reigning Vezina winner, tied for the league lead in wins with 42 (42-13-6). He was just behind Bobrovsky with a 2.07 GAA and third in the league with a .925 save percentage. He had a league-high nine shutouts.

Price, the Montreal Canadiens starter who took home the Vezina and Hart Trophy for league MVP in 2015, went 37-20-5 (three shutouts) with a 2.23 GAA and .923 save percentage.

The winner will be revealed at the NHL Awards on June 21 in Las Vegas.
