Arkansas' Jeremiah Ledbetter gestures to the crowd up during the second quarter of an NCAA college football game against Texas State on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, in Fayetteville, Ark. Arkansas won 42-3.

With their first pick in the sixth round, the Detroit Lions selected Arkansas defensive tackle Jeremiah Ledbetter with the 205th overall pick.

Ledbetter is 6-feet-3 and 280 pounds. He transferred from junior college and played two seasons for Arkansas, where he had 7.5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss.

He lacks ideal size inside, so he might move around in sub packages.

He has a strong athletic pedigree. His father, Weldon, was a running back at Oklahoma in 1979-82 and his cousin, Isaac Byrd, was a receiver who was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 1997.

Ledbetter graduated in December with a degree in sociology.
