NFL signings/claims tracker: Players already finding new homes in wake of roster cuts

Even though NFL teams were required to reach the 53-man roster limit Saturday, many were still making moves during Labor Day weekend with so many players suddenly available and practice squads that needed to be filled.

Here is a look at the players who have already found new employment, including waiver claims:

RB Justin Forsett, Ravens: Baltimore's leading rusher the past two seasons has agreed to re-sign, per CBS, after surprisingly being cut over the weekend. Forsett now appears to be just one component of a very deep backfield.

K Connor Barth, Bears: Pushed out by second rounder Roberto Aguayo in Tampa, Barth himself will now replace Robbie Gould, the Bears' all-time leading scorer, in Chicago.

QB Josh Johnson, Giants: New York will atypically carry three quarterbacks after adding Johnson, who takes linebacker Jasper Brinkley's roster spot.

QB Kevin Hogan, Browns: A fifth-round pick of the Chiefs in April, the former Stanford star is now a member of Cleveland's practice squad.

KR/WR Marc Mariani, Titans: A Pro Bowler in 2010 before his career was stalled by a gruesome leg injury, Mariani now returns to Nashville after two years with the Bears.

OLB Bud Dupree, Steelers: Last year's first-round pick went on injured reserve Sunday. Dupree, who had four sacks in his rookie season, had been fighting a groin issue. Pittsburgh signed LB Steven Johnson. Dupree, who will undergo surgery, per multiple reports, could still return in 2016 if the Steelers eventually designate him as their player who can come off IR.

KR/WR Devin Hester, Ravens: Former Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds failed to stick as a converted receiver/returner, so Baltimore is turning to Hester, arguably the best kick returner in league history. He officially agreed to a one-year deal.

KR/WR Keenan Reynolds: The record-setting college quarterback clearly needs more time to adapt to the pro game at new positions, but he'll be given that opportunity as a member of Baltimore's practice squad.

NFL roster-cut tracker: Which big names were released?

QB Aaron Murray, Cardinals: The former Georgia star (who never threw a pass for the Chiefs) joins Arizona's practice squad along with fellow QB Zac Dysert.

RB Andre Williams, Chargers: After spending two years with the Giants, the former Boston College star was claimed by the Chargers, who lost backup RB Branden Oliver to an Achilles injury in preseason. Williams' shortcomings as a receiver mean he likely won't play much behind Melvin Gordon and Danny Woodhead unless Gordon is injured.

TE Logan Paulsen, Bears: The former Redskin brings six years experience and 79 career catches to Chicago.

WR Moritz Böhringer, Vikings: The first player drafted directly out of a European league, Böhringer's NFL dream will remain alive in Minnesota as a member of the practice squad.

WR Justin Hunter, Dolphins: A former second-round pick who didn't make it with Tennessee, Hunter was picked up by Miami but could struggle to get playing time with players like Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and DeVante Parker in front of him.

RB Bishop Sankey, Patriots: The first back drafted two years ago (by the Titans) resurfaces in deep storage on the New England practice squad, per ESPN. The Pats tend to cycle through backs quickly, but Sankey could get an opportunity with no one really entrenched.

QB Matt Barkley, Bears: The former USC passer once in the conversation to be a first-round pick is now a member of Chicago's practice squad.

TE Jace Amaro, Titans: A second-round pick of the Jets in 2014, Amaro clashed with former coach Rex Ryan in the media, then missed all of 2015 on injured reserve. The former Texas Tech playmaker will now try to revive his career by learning behind Delanie Walker in Nashville.

WR Arrelious Benn, Jaguars: A second-round pick of the Buccaneers in 2010, Benn and his 59 career catches land in Jacksonville. Limited by injuries, Been last played a regular-season game in 2012.

QB Jeff Driskel, Bengals: A sixth-round pick of the 49ers this year, Driskel lands on an active roster after all but behind Andy Dalton and AJ McCarron.

OL Josh Sitton, Bears: The long-time Packers guard will join the division rival Bears, according to Tom Pelissero of USA TODAY Sports.
