Remember when Paul George was going to force the Indiana Pacers to trade him to the Boston Celtics or Los Angeles Lakers? We saw how that worked out.

Portland Trail Blazers guards C.J. McCollum (left) and Damian Lillard are hoping to entice Carmelo Anthony to join their team.

Lately there has been speculation that Carmelo Anthony would be moved from the New York Knicks to the Houston Rockets or the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Well, just like how George ended up being shipped to the Oklahoma City Thunder, shocking the NBA world, there appears to be another team hoping to shake up the Anthony trade talks.

At Damian Lillard's camp in Portland, he and teammate C.J. McCollum claim that the Trail Blazers might just be alive for Anthony.

Or, at least Anthony would be open to it.

McCollum said at the camp Wednesday that he and Lillard had made their pitch to Anthony, and, "I think he's interested."

On an interview Wednesday on SiriusXM NBA Radio, McCollum said, "If we add Carmelo Anthony, we'll be a top-three team in the West immediately."

On his instagram account, McCollum posted a photo of Anthony wearing a Blazers jersey.

So far, Anthony hasn't said if he would add Portland to the list of teams he would waive his no-trade clause for. But if you're the Blazers, it's always good to dream.
