Hamilton JV golf squad wins three events

On May 9 at Greenfield Park, the Hamilton junior varsity golf team defeated West Allis Hale, 186-204. Jason Hunt led the way with a 44, Mason Paluchniak fired a 45, Jake Wieseckel shot a 48, Ryan Hoffman carded a 49, Nick Wood a 51 and Jake Schmitt a 54.

The Chargers beat Slinger on May 6 at Silver Spring, 198-223. Hoffman had a 47, Blake Deede a 49 and Alex Friedrich a 50. Ben Doering, Jason Hunt and Wood shot 52.

On May 4, Hamilton lost to Pewaukee at Silver Spring, 187-193. Logan Ambrookian had a team-low score of 45, Friedrich carded a 46, Nate Mierendorf shot a 50, Schmitt and Evan Lueck shot 52, and Wood a 53.

On a very cold and windy afternoon May 3, HHS defeated Menomonee Falls, 170-201. This was the season's best score to date for the ever-improving sophomore team. Leading the way were Jason Demler and Hoffman (40), Ambrookian and Schmitt (45), Bennett DeGeorge (47) and Hunt (51).

HHS lost to Brookfield Central on May 2 at Wanaki, 185-204. Paluchniak (45), Lueck (51), Mierendorf and Doering (54), Deede (55) and Wieseckel (57).

Songbird Hills has golf

openings for all ages

Songbird Hills Golf Course has opened registration for the Junior Lessons and Junior League, which will begin in June. Golf lessons are open to boys and girls ages 7 and over.

The Junior League is open to boys and girls from ages 11 to 17.

There are also openings for league play in the Parent-Junior League, Monday morning men's 18-hole league, Tuesday morning ladies 18-hole league, Wednesday after-work ladies League and several others.

Gosz basketball camps ready for 23rd season

The 23rd annual Mike Gosz Basketball Camp will be offering two weekly sessions this summer. The sessions will be held at St Mary's Grade School (Menomonee Falls) from June 13-16 and at Hamilton High School from June 20-23. The boys and girls sessions will be conducted from 1 to 3:30 pm. The cost for the camp is $80 and is open to boys and girls entering grades 1-8.

A Shooting and Offensive Skills Camp will be offered from July 19-21 at Hamilton High School. Boys and girls sessions will be conducted from 1 to 3:30 p.m.. Cost is $80.

Hamilton Basketball Club

An Advanced Offensive Skills Camp for boys basketball players will take place May 13-14 at Hamilton High School, coached by Forrest Larson and open to grades 4-11.

The highly intensive/instructional camp emphasizes skill development. Registration runs from 5 to 6 p.m. May 13, with camp to follow from 6 to 9 p.m. It runs from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. the following day, as well.

The 2016 Hamilton Summer Basketball Camps, offered for boys in grades K-9, will run June 14-17 and July 5-21. The Offensive Skills Camp will run June 21-23 and June 28-30 at Templeton Middle School, the Small Fry camp for grades K-1 will run July 25-28 at Templeton and the Last Chance Camp for boys and girls in grades 4-8 will run July 25-28 at Templeton.
