The Menomonee Falls/Germantown/Hamilton boys swimming team turned in a competitive effort in falling to Muskego, 108-77, in a Greater Metro/Classic 8 Conference dual meet on Jan. 14.
They will visit Waukesha North in another league dual at 6 p.m. Jan. 21, and then will host their own Indian Invite at 10 a.m. Jan. 23, in the Falls pool. Bay Port, Janesville Craig, Madison Edgewood, Madison West, Sheboygan South, Watertown and Waukesha West are scheduled to participate.
Against Muskego, Shawn Brown was a double winner, taking the 50-yard freestyle (22.87) as well as the 100 butterfly (54.4). Other wins for the Indians came from Siddhant Jain in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.1), Turner Velle in diving (201.1 points) and the 200 free relay team of Brown, Dayne Gramoll, Josh Ebner and Keegan Donlen (1:35.62).
Seconds went to the 200 medley relay team of Jain, Grant Adams, Josh Woods and Nick Omer (1:50.46); Conner Cameron in the 100 backstroke (1:02.42); the 400 free relay team of Brown, Ebner, Jain and Donlen (3:36.52); and Andrew Godfrey in diving (179.55).
