The Menomonee Falls girls track team got its season formally rolling with a victory in the nine-squad Clark Mitchell Indoor at Cudahy on March 22.

Falls, which took part in the Greater Metro Conference Indoor on Wednesday, March 29, scored 141 points for the victory as East Troy took second with 122.

The Indians used depth to claim the meet title as they only won four events. They went one-two in the 55-meter dash; junior Jada Jones won with a 7.95 second clocking, and freshman Alexis Hunter was second in 8.07. 

Skylar Kennedy also won the long jump (13-10), the Indian six-lap relay won with a time of 2:18.85 and the 12-lap crew cruised to a win in 5:37.74.

Other seconds went to Hunter in the 200 dash (29.65) and Caleigh Chisholm in the 55 intermediate hurdles (9.36) and 55 high hurdles (9.62). Thirds were taken by Mikaela Russell in the 400 dash (1:12.95); Erin Dowling in the 800 (2:59.66); Emma Kirby in the 200 dash (29.9); Savannah Mis in the 2-mile run (15:14.78); Riley Herrendeen in the 55 intermediate hurdles (10.11) and pole vault (8-0); and Alyssa Marks in the shot put (29-3½).

Falls was also third of at the Watertown Relays on March 25 as the Indians scored 80 points. Slinger won with 112.

Chisholm won the 55 high hurdles in 9.72 and led a two-three-four effort in the in the 200 low hurdles with a 33.11 showing. Herrendeen was third (34.09) and Kirby fourth (34.35). Kennedy also won the pole vault (9-0).

Other seconds went to the six-lap relay of Sam Kruk, Tamia Powell, Hailey Reeves and Hunter (2:30.62) and the 4x400 relay team of Eileen Tocco, Hunter, Russell and Kruk (4:42.76).

Thirds went to the four-lap relay of Mara Chisholm, Anaya Hunter, Jones and Reeves (1:36.92) and to Rachel Murphy in the long jump (14-4½).
