The Hamilton Junior Chargers fifth-grade basketball team finished sixth at the Wisconsin State Invitational Championship Tournament, which was co-hosted by Appleton East, Apple North, and Kimberly, on March 25 and 26.

Hamilton participated in Division 1 and opened pool play with victories over Sheboygan North, Appleton North and Wausau West. In the round of 16, the Chargers defeated Neenah, 38-19.

Hamilton lost to Germantown by four points in the quarterfinals and fell to Kimberly in the fifth-place matchup, 50-48.

T.J. Adams was named to the D1 All-Tournament Team. Hamilton was coached by Tony Barth, Daryl Bates and Eric Grams.

The tournament, which featured teams in D1, D2, D3 and D4/D5, was organized by the Great Northwest Basketball League and had 85 squads from across the state participate.
