The Germantown softball team returned to the state tournament this season and also placed second in the North Shore Conference with an 11-3 record.
Senior Carly Szada received first-team All-Conference honors at pitcher. Szada finished the season with an 11-4 record, 91 strikeouts and a 2.60 ERA.
In the NSC, Szada ranked third with a 1.08 ERA and tied for first with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Szada also earned Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association second-team All-State.
Senior infielder Amanda Williams was first team after ranking third in the league with 18 RBIs. For the season, Williams hit .378.
Maddie Yont, a senior infielder, was also first-team All NSC. Yont batted .468 in 2017.
Junior catcher Ellie Decker and sophomore outfielder Hannah Lalk made the second team.
Decker was third in the North Shore with a .946 slugging percentage.
Lauren Arnholt, a sophomore utility player, also earned second-team status.
Freshman pitcher Gia Szada, junior infielder Sam Oswald and senior outfielder Kailee Garstecki were honorable mention.
Grafton's Amanda Parson's was the NSC Player of the Year.
