MENOMONEE FALLS GIRLS SOCCER
The Indians took advantage of varied spring break schedules across the state to schedule and win a home nonconference game with Luxemberg-Casco, 2-0, on April 20.
Emma Weber (assist to Emilie Stojsavljevic) and Kylee Wunschel (Natalie Clayton and Alyssa Clark) both scored goals to earn the win against the Indians' outstate opponents. Sid Bonesho made three saves. Falls is 1-1-2 entering a three-match week.
MENOMONEE FALLS GIRLS TRACK
The Indians earned fifth of 10 team at the Sussex Hamilton Co-ed Invitational on April 19.
The Indians scored 53-¼ points for their spot as Milwaukee Rufus King dominated the meet with 158.
Falls will now be at the Green Bay Invite on Saturday, April 29.
At the Hamilton Invite, the Indians earned seconds from Lindsay Bons in the discus (90-2 ½) and from the 4x200-meter relay team of Sam Kruk, Anaya and Alexis Hunter, and Jada Jones (1:53.42) and from the 4x100 relay team of Jones, Alexis Hunter, Caleigh Chisholm and Sam Kruk (52.75).
Chisholm was also third in the 100 high hurdles (16.95),
In the West Bend Invite on April 21, the Indians earned a first in the 4x100 relay as Jones, Alexis Hunter, Chisholm and Kruk combined for a season best of 51.46 while Eileen Tocco was fourth in the 3,200 (12:15.4), Chisholm was third in the 100 high hurdles (16.63) and the team of Kruk, Anaya and Alexis Hunter and Jones was fifth in the 4x200 (1:52.64).
MENOMONEE FALLS BOYS TRACK
The Indians picked up a first from Cameron Jemison in the pole vault and earned fifth in the 13-team Brookfield East Mike Gain Invitational on April 18.
They scored 58-½ points for their spot as host East, the defending state champions, dominated the event with 148.
They will be at Quad Park in Milwaukee on Saturday, April 29, for the Marquette Invitational.
Jemison cleared 14 feet for his victory in the event. Tyler Smalley was second in the 1,600 meter run (4:43.34) as was Patrick Doyle in the 400 dash (51.17), Matt Nienow fourth in the 300 intermediate hurdles (42.67), Dominick Kollmann fifth in the long jump (19-1), David Koier sixth in the discus (132-5), and Tom Goihl fourth in the 3,200 (10:28.28), and the 4x800 relay team of Josh Barczak, Teddy Smies-Devine, Logan Hipps and Dylan Widmir, fifth (8:58.82).
Doyle was sixth in the 100 (11.78) as was Nienow in the 100 high hurdles (16.85).
GERMANTOWN GIRLS TRACK
On spring break week, the Warhawks sent a few individuals to the Brookfield East Lady Spartan Invitational on April 19.
Kate Richmond earned the only place for the Warhawks with a seventh-place effort in the 400-meter dash (1:08.45).
