The Lannon Stonemen continued to roll July 29 in the Land O' Lakes Western Division baseball league.

Playing a Suburban Division game against host West Bend 7-Up at Regner Park, the red-hot Stonemen scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to post a 5-3 victory over the 7-Up. The win avenged a loss to the 7-Up on June 3.

Lannon has now won six games in a row, tying the longest current winning streak of any team in the 14-team LOL West Division. The Stonemen also have won 10 of its last 11 games.

Lannon leads the Suburban Division with an 11-2 record.They are followed by the Brookfield Bulldogs, Brookfield Blue Sox and Milwaukee, who all stand at 9-5. They are followed by the 7-Up at 8-6, Menomonee  Falls 5-11 and West Bend Lithia 3-13.

Pewaukee leads the Lake Country Division at 12-1. They are followed by Sussex at 10-4, Monches 10-5, Oconomowoc 7-8, Merton 3-10, Hartland 2-13 and North Lake 1-11.

Lannon will return to action this week when they host Milwaukee in a crucial divisional game on at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5.

Last Friday's game at West Bend bounced back and forth before the Stonemen won it in the ninth. Lannon broke a scoreless tie with two  runs in the fifth, thanks to a pair of 7-Up errors. West Bend tied the game with solo runs in the fifth and sixth.

Both team scored once in the eighth to make it a 3-3 game going into the ninth. Winning pitcher Nick Erd wiggled out of tight jam in the eighth to keep the game tied. When Erd got the final out that inning, West Bend had the bases loaded.

Brodie Engle, Ty Kozlowski, Adam Bigus and Dean Haase had two hits apiece for Lannon.

Taylor Koth led 7-Up with three hits and Matt Schubert, Billy Bynum and Jed Justman chipped in with a pair of hits each.
