SUSSEX - What started as a domestic disturbance led to the arrest of a 23-year-old Sussex man late Tuesday, June 13, after he crashed into two parked cars while evading police.

At 11:23 p.m., the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of a domestic disturbance in Sussex. While on the way to the residence, a deputy saw the Ford Explorer, which matched the description of the suspect's car.

The deputy tried to pull the car over on Butternut Lane and Pine Terrace, but the Ford Explorer fled east and reached a speed of 60 mph.

The suspect ultimately crashed into two cars parked in a driveway on Pine Terrace.

The suspect was arrested immediately following the crash for eluding police and operating while intoxicated. He was transported to Community Memorial Hospital for minor injuries he sustained during the crash and was later booked into the Waukesha County Jail.

No other injuries resulted from the crash. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.
