SUSSEX — The Hamilton School Board appointed Renae MacCudden as the next principal of Willow Springs Learning Center, W220N6660 Town Line Road, during its Monday, April 24 board meeting.

MacCudden was most recently an assistant professor of elementary education at Concordia University, a position she held since 2015. Prior to that, she was an elementary school teacher for 17 years collectively in the Oconomowoc, Wauwatosa, Whitnall and Elmbrook school districts.

The principal position is part time and will begin for MacCudden on July 1. The position was formerly held by Erin Steiner, who resigned because she found it difficult to stay within the allotted hours.

MacCudden has a bachelor’s degree in elementary and middle school education from Marquette University and her master’s and doctorate in educational administration from Cardinal Stritch University.

Willow Springs Learning Center houses the Hamilton School District’s half-day 4-year-old kindergarten program.
