MENOMONEE FALLS - In a fundraising campaign for his family, Patrick Heitman was remembered as a father, businessman and upstanding member of the Menomonee Falls community. He died Sunday, June 5, after a crash between his bicycle and a vehicle on Appleton Avenue and Jacobson Drive.

Ryan Anderson, athletic and activities director for the Menomonee Falls School District, is managing the fundraising campaign, which has raised nearly $15,000 for the Heitman family.

"Pat's life has impacted so many and he leaves behind friends and family that mourn his loss deeply," according to the campaign. "All donations will be provided to the family for any needs they have during this trying time."

Heitman leaves behind three children and his wife, Nicole, an educational assistant at Riverside Elementary School.

Heitman was riding his bike southeast along Appleton Avenue at the time of the crash.

The crash is under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol, but police confirmed after the initial investigation, drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors of the crash.
