MENOMONEE FALLS - Just weeks shy of her sentencing date for sexually assaulting a Menomonee Falls High School student in 2015, April Novak is in trouble again.
Novak has been charged with disorderly conduct, domestic abuse and felony bail jumping after a confrontation with her ex-husband and his girlfriend in front of Novak's two children in Sussex.
Police were dispatched to her ex-husband's residence around 9 p.m. June 7 after Novak allegedly tried to get into the home.
According to the complaint, Novak said she has been watching the house waiting for her ex's family to leave, that she was angry and wanted to speak with the girlfriend.
The girlfriend told police Novak was yelling and screaming profanities in front of the children, ages 2 and 4. Novak told the girlfriend that she could not wait to deal with her in the future and that she should be nowhere near Novak's two children, said the complaint.
Novak's ex asked her to leave the house, at which point, she allegedly punched in the screen door. She left the premises as the girlfriend called Sussex police.
Novak is already facing prison time after she was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old Menomonee Falls boy April 24. Those charges stemmed from a romantic and sexual relationship between Novak and the student from October through early December 2015.
Judge Ralph Ramirez will sentence Novak for the sexual assault charges June 29.
