MENOMONEE FALLS - Daysha Rhodes, 22, of Glendale has been charged in connection with the April 23 shoplifting spree, where a store employee was pepper sprayed in the eyes at a Menomonee Falls Bath and Body Works, N95 W18463 County Line Road.
According to the criminal complaint, Rhodes approached a Bath and Body Works employee, walked to the back of the store and started filling a reusable store bag with a number of store items quickly.
Store employees observed her on the phone while filling the bag and the suspect's vehicle, a gray Mitsubishi Diamante without license plates, circling the store several times.
Rhodes attempted to run out of the store around 3 p.m. with the bag full of merchandise; in doing so, she pushed a store employee who was near the exit, pepper sprayed the employee in the face and fled in the waiting vehicle, according to the complaint.
Employees determined the total cost of stolen items was $532.
Video surveillance inside Bath and Body Works and a nearby Pick 'n Save were provided to investigators that showed the suspect vehicle driving through the lot 10 minutes before the incident.
Police determined Rhodes also matched the description of a suspect involved in another Bath and Body Works theft in West Bend on May 12.
Rhodes denied she had any involvement in the thefts despite being shown the surveillance footage.
Rhodes is being charged with one felony count of retail theft, one count of robbery with the use of force (repeated offense) and one count of using an oleoresin device to commit a crime, causing bodily harm.
