Art Guild

The Art Guild of Menomonee Falls is holding their 10th annual Art in the Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at Village Park, one block off Appleton Avenue on Garfield Drive at Mill Street, Menomonee Falls. The day will feature art and craft exhibitors, roving performers with local talent, blues, classical and symphonic music and a children's art area. There will be no food booths.

Vietnam Memorial

The Moving Wall, the half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be on display in the Kennedy Middle School athletic field, W160 N11836 Crusader Court, Germantown, Thursday through Monday, Sept. 1 to 5.

Sponsored by American Legion Post 1 (Germantown), The wall currently lists 58,307 names, 14 of which are from Washington County. Viewing will be available 24 hours a day while in Germantown. Along with The Moving Wall, is the Healing Field displaying hundreds to thousands of American flags and an American Huey 369 will be present with membership rides for a fee to be announced. Viewing The Moving Wall is free.

Vietnam education

One week before and while The Moving Wall is in Germantown, the American Legion Post, N120 W15932 Freistadt Road (across from Kennedy Middle School), will be turned into a Vietnam Era Education Hall all day, daily.

Visitors will be presented with military dog tags and mimicked military papers upon entering the Post banquet hall. Once in the hall, visitors will be guided through stations and times of the war. A full-color keepsake book will will available for purchase documenting local ties to The Moving Wall.

Church festival

St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11940 Goldendale Road, Germantown, is holding their annual Fall Festival all day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 2-4. Events planned include a raffle, car show, live music, games and more.

Patio Player audition

The Falls Patio Players are holding auditions for “Mulan Jr.” from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 6-7, at North Middle School, N88 W16750 Garfield Drive, Menomonee Falls.

Clarke House

The historic Clarke House continues to be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays through October. The house is located 12810 W. Hampton Ave., Butler, and is a Wisconsin Historical Marker. Admission is free, however donations are accepted.

St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Road, Menomonee Falls, offers interpreted Masses for the deaf at 4:30 p.m. every second and fourth Saturday.
