Village of Menomonee Falls - All pets and their owners are welcome to attend the ninth annual Humane Animal Welfare Society’s Pet Fair on from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at Rotary Park in Menomonee Falls.

Event coordinator and adoption lead Nichole Janny expects this year’s turnout to be anywhere from 500 to 1,500 people. Last year, HAWS raised $6,000 at the Pet Fair.

“It’s a really great coupling of pet vendors, rescues, other types of businesses, so there really is something for everyone,” Janny said.

Janny said while the event serves as a fundraiser for HAWS, local businesses also have a great reason to participate in the fair.

“Vendors keep any profits from what they make that day, which I think is a great incentive to the vendors,” Janny said. "The other thing that’s really awesome is we get to showcase local businesses from around the area, like Brook Falls Family Pet Clinic.”

Some of the event features will include micro chipping and tagging done by the shelter, a raffle, children’s games and adoptable pets.

“We really love fostering this relationship between the shelter and Menomonee Falls,” Janny said.
