A construction worker who fell Friday from the second story of a building project in Ocean City suffered only minor injuries, police said.

At about 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 24, Ocean City police received a call that a worker had fallen at a site in the 10 block oceanside of 141st Street in Ocean City, said police spokeswoman Lindsay Richard.

Responders found the victim conscious, alert and breathing, Richard said. Ocean City Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Maryland office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified and will investigate, Richard said. Police units were still at the scene at about 12:30 p.m.
