Theft

1A 37-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken into custody after she tried to return some stolen merchandise at Woodman’s, W124 N8145 Highway 145, at about 2:45 p.m. May 6. The woman got the merchandise with a series of bad checks between Dec. 1 and May 6, and also passed a fraudulent check from a deceased person. She is facing possible felony charges of identity theft and shoplifting.

2A 28-year-old Black Creek man was taken into custody in the 9500 block of Cross View Way after police discovered he was driving a stolen truck at 2:35 p.m. May 7. The suspect allegedly admitted taking the truck without permission and was taken to jail.

3A red construction trailer containing an unknown amount of tools was stolen from a construction site in the 6500 block of Pawnee Court between 5 p.m. May 5 and 6:45 a.m. May 8. The value of the trailer and tools is estimated at $30,000.

4A purse was stolen out of a locked vehicle at The Arboretum, W180 N7890 Town Hall Road, between 6:30 and 9:15 a.m. May 8. According to police, the driver’s side window was rolled down far enough that someone could reach in and unlock the doors.

5A wallet containing $545 was stolen from an employee at Alto Shaam, W164 N9221 Water St., between 2 and 4 p.m. May 8. The employee later found his empty wallet inside a garbage can in the bathroom.

6An antique pearl necklace was stolen out of an apartment at The Arboretum, W180 N7890 Town Hall Road, between 7 p.m. April 28 and 10 a.m. May 10. The necklace is valued at $1,000. 

7A black construction trailer filled with tools was stolen from a construction site in the 15700 block of Fox Meadow Drive between 3 p.m. May 7 and 6:45 a.m. May 8. The value of the trailer and tools is estimated at $25,500.

8A 2007 Toyota Camry was stolen from the parking lot at the Waste Management Orchard Ridge Landfill on Boundary Road between 5:10 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 12. The keys were left in the ignition when it was stolen. The stolen Camry was later used to steal another vehicle in Brown Deer at about 3 p.m., and at about 6 p.m. the Camry was found, abandoned, in the 400 block of West Capitol Drive in Milwaukee.

Vandalism

9Someone used a BB gun to break the cab windows of two excavators parked at Wacker Neuson Corporation, N92 W15000 Anthony Ave., between 3 p.m. May 5 and 2:55 p.m. May 8. Damage is estimated at $4,000.

10A brick was thrown through two basement windows at the Sparrow House at Old Falls Village, N96 W15792 County Line Road, between noon May 8 and 11:10 a.m. May 13. Damage is estimated at $150.

Other

11A 36-year-old man was bitten by a dog in the 15000 block of Cleveland Avenue at about 11:40 a.m. May 6. The man was jogging on the sidewalk when the dog left its property and bit him in the buttocks. The owner of the dog, a 29-year-old woman, was given a written warning for dog at large.
