1Two females shoplifted at least two bottles of cologne and other items by concealing them inside a purse at Ulta, N91 W16051 Falls Parkway, at about 7:45 p.m. Jan. 19. The suspects fled the lot in a dark colored sedan that was last seen heading east on Falls Parkway. The two women appear to be the same suspects who shoplifted a large amount of merchandise from Ulta on Dec. 30 and Jan 2.

2A bank deposit bag containing $1,647 was stolen from Noodles & Company, W176 N9336 Rivercrest Drive, between Jan. 14 and Jan. 17. The money was kept inside a safe, and police are questioning several employees who had access to the safe.

3A Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun was stolen out of the locked glove compartment of a vehicle parked in the employee lot at Power Products, N85 W12545 Westbrook Crossing, between 10:05 and 10:20 p.m. Jan. 18. Surveillance video showed the suspect drove into the lot in a white SUV and started checking for unlocked vehicles in the lot. Once inside the Chevy, the suspect broke into the glove compartment, stole the gun, and then drove out of the lot.

4A black briefcase containing six credit cards and paperwork containing personal information was stolen out of a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country parked at Marcus Cinema, W180 N9393 Premier Lane, between 7:10 and 10 p.m. Jan. 20.

5A woman’s wedding ring was stolen out of the restroom at Walgreens, N83 W15701 Appleton Ave., between 6 and 8 p.m. Jan. 19. The woman took the ring off to wash her hands and accidentally left it behind on the bathroom sink. When she went to retrieve it, it was gone.

6A white 2000 Wabash semi-trailer was reported stolen out of the lot at Lamplight Farms, W140 N4900 Lilly Road, at midnight Jan. 20. The theft occurred between Dec. 7 and Jan. 20.

Drug possession

7A 29-year-old woman who drove her car into a ditch on Mill and Marcy roads and was found passed out in the driver’s seat was taken into custody after she allegedly admitted smoking synthetic marijuana while driving at about 4:45 p.m. Jan. 20. After being medically cleared, she was taken to the police station and cited for possession of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia.


8A 35-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI after an officer saw him drive his Honda Civic into the parking spot at Walgreens, N83 W15701 Appleton Ave., get out of the driver’s seat and urinate in the parking lot at 12:45 a.m. Jan. 22. The man allegedly admitted drinking a few beers before driving, and a preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.189. He was booked, cited and released.


9A 1999 Lexus parked in the W14000 block of Garwin Mace Drive was reportedly vandalized by two females at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 20. The women broke the front and rear windshields, the passenger side window and driver’s side window, both rearview mirrors, smashed out the tail lights and scratched both sides of the vehicle. The suspects fled the scene in a tan minivan. Police have the name of one of the possible suspects, a soon-to-be ex-girlfriend of the victim, and are seeking her for questioning. A damage estimate was not available.
