Burglary

1A purse was stolen out of a vehicle that was parked inside a garage in the W177 N10200 block of Walden Court between the late evening hours of Jan. 25 and 5:50 a.m. Jan. 26.

2Several personal items were reported stolen out of a vehicle parked in a garage in the N99 W17400 block of Meadow Creek Way between the evening hours of Jan. 25 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 26. The garage was open when the theft occurred.

Theft

3A man was taken into custody and cited for shoplifting ammunition at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, at 2:25 p.m. Jan. 24.

4A money clip containing various cards was stolen out of an unlocked Chevy Silverado in the W177 N10300 block of Walden Court between the late evening hours of Jan. 25 and the early morning hours of Jan. 26.

5A wallet was stolen out of a vehicle in the W194 N11400 block of McCormick Drive between 2:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Jan. 26.

6A briefcase containing a laptop computer and GPS was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the N101 W17400 block of Tanglewood Drive between 9 p.m. Jan. 25 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 26.

7A backpack was reported stolen out of a vehicle parked at DSM Food Specialties USA, W194 N11411 McCormick Drive, at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 27. The theft occurred on Jan. 25.

Drug possession

8A man who was found passed out in the driver’s seat of his running vehicle at Kwik Trip, W188 N10963 Maple Road, was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia at about 1 a.m. Jan. 23.

Fire

9Emergency personnel responded to the off ramp on Highway 41 and County Line Road after receiving 15 911 calls reporting a vehicle on fire at 12:25 p.m. Jan. 27. The vehicle, a 2011 Ford Edge, had pulled over and the driver was standing outside when police and firefighters arrived to put out the fire. A damage estimate and possible cause were not released.

Other

10A male employee who caused a loud disturbance and refused to leave after being fired from Taco Bell, N96 W17801 County Line Road, was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct at about 7:20 p.m. Jan. 22.

11Germantown police used spike strips to stop a stolen vehicle on southbound Highway 41 and Holy Hill Road, while assisting the Washington County Sheriff’s Department in the pursuit at about 3:15 a.m. Jan. 26. The occupants got out of the stolen vehicle after it crashed and fled on foot, but were chased down and taken into custody.

Germantown police assisted the fire department with 20 rescue calls between Jan. 22 and Jan. 29.
