Burglary

1 A 35-year-old Richfield man was taken into custody for allegedly stealing about $1,600 in cash from Wendy’s, N96 W17600 County Line Road, at about 8:30 a.m. Jan. 17. The man, who is a manager at Wendy’s, told police a man he met in a lounge in Milwaukee forced him into the restaurant at gunpoint, then dropped him off in Milwaukee. He was taken to jail and is facing a charge of obstructing/filing a false police report and burglary.

Theft

2 Two debit cards were reported stolen from a woman at Speedway, W178 N9653 Riversbend Lane, between 2 and 3 a.m. Jan. 15. The victim told police a woman who gave her a ride to the business stole her debit cards, and then used the cards to make fraudulent purchases and cash withdrawals in Germantown. Police are investigating.

3 An older white male wearing a black parka with a fur hood shoplifted a display containing 50 cigarette lighters at Speedway, W178 N9653 Riversbend Lane, at 9:05 a.m. Jan. 16.

4 A 28-year-old Milwaukee man who was taken into custody for shoplifting at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, was taken into custody for felony bail jumping and possession of a weapon at about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 16. The suspect, who was out on bail, is facing three felony counts of first degree sexual assault while armed with a dangerous weapon and one misdemeanor battery charge.

5 About $10,800 worth of items were reported stolen out of a semi parked in the N136 W15900 block of Bonniwell Road at 5 p.m. Jan. 18.

6 A cell phone was stolen off a table at McDonald’s, N96 W17512 County Line Road, while the victim was in the restroom at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 20.

OWI

7 A man was taken into custody for OWI and possession of drug paraphernalia and two male passengers in his vehicle were taken into custody for underage drinking and disorderly conduct after they were involved in an altercation with another driver in the parking lot at McDonald’s, N96 W17512 County Line Road, at about 1:45 a.m. Jan. 19. During the altercation, one of the passengers, an 18-year-old Germantown man, punched the caller’s windshield.

Accidents

8 Police went to the W168 N11200 block of Western Avenue after it was reported that a blue Dodge Caravan crashed into another vehicle and fled the area at about 7:35 p.m. Jan. 16. The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old man, was found hiding in a garage in the N11500 block of Westminster Court, where he was taken into custody for hit-and-run and driving with a revoked license.

Germantown police assisted the fire department with 25 rescue calls between Jan. 15 and Jan. 22.
