1 Police responding to a burglar alarm at AT&T, N96 W17970 County Line Road, found someone broke a window on the south side of the business at 3:15 a.m. Dec. 19. Surveillance footage showed two unknown males wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, breaking the window and entering the business, but nothing was reported stolen at the time of the report.
2 A man reportedly shoplifted two Dewalt brand drills at Sears, N96 W18650 County Line Road, at 8:20 p.m. Dec. 21.
3 A 30-year-old Germantown man was taken into custody for hitting a man in the face with a shovel in the W159 N11000 block of Legend Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Dec. 19. He was taken to jail and is facing charges of substantial battery and disorderly conduct. The victim was taken to Community Memorial Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
4 A 53-year-old Allenton woman was taken to the hospital for treatment after an SUV making a left turn onto Fond du Lac Avenue from Holy Hill Road collided with her vehicle at about 9:35 a.m. Dec. 19. The driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old Wauwatosa woman, was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and no insurance.
5 Emergency personnel responded to a house fire in the N128 W20100 block of Holy Hill Road at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 21. Multiple fire departments responded to the scene to help extinguish the fire, and two firefighters were injured while battling the blaze. Once the fire was extinguished, the home had to be torn down; loss is estimated at more than $200,000. The occupants of the home were not injured, but two cats were unaccounted for at the time of the report.
6 Police are investigating a report that an employee at US Cellular, W183 N9609 Appleton Ave., allegedly emailed a customer sexually explicit pictures and videos to his personal account on Dec. 21.
Germantown police assisted the fire department with 21 rescue calls between Dec. 18 and Dec. 24.
