Burglary

1Police are seeking a 27-year-old Milwaukee man who kicked in the front door at his ex-girlfriend’s residence in the N114 W16700 block of Crown Drive, and stole $10 and a diamond ring out of her purse at about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 21. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Assault

2Police took a 37-year-old man into custody after receiving multiple reports that he was assaulting a woman outside a red Chevy Cobalt that was pulled over on Highway 41 near Lannon Road at about 6:55 p.m. Aug. 21. He is facing a felony charge of strangulation and suffocation and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

OWI

3A 55-year-old woman was taken into custody for OWI and was cited for an improper turn after she failed to negotiate a right turn from Preserve Parkway onto Bel Aire Lane and crashed into a vehicle stopped at a stop sign on Bel Aire Lane at 8:55 p.m. Aug. 23. She was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.

Accidents

4A woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of chest pain after her vehicle collided with another vehicle on Maple and Freistadt roads at about 12:50 p.m. Aug. 24. The injured driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.

Vandalism

5A newspaper box was reported tipped over and possibly set on fire on Main Street and Western Avenue at 1:20 p.m. Aug. 21.

Fire

6Emergency personnel responded to report of a vehicle on fire on Highway 41 south of Highway 167 at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 25. The vehicle, a 2009 Toyota Scion, was heading south on Highway 41 when a fire ignited the engine compartment. The fire was extinguished and no one was injured.

Other

7Police went to Walgreens, W156 N11261 Pilgrim Road, after an employee refused to sell a large amount of iTunes cards to a customer because she believed he was the victim of a scam at 4:40 p.m. Aug. 24. Police met with the man, who said he sent $4,800 worth of iTunes cards to an alleged computer security company after they told him his anti-virus software was compromised.

8A male employee at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., who caused a loud disturbance inside the store after being fired was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct at about 3:35 p.m. Aug. 26.

9Police went to Bub’s Irish Pub, N116 W16218 Main St., for a report that an extremely drunk woman was sitting in the bathroom with her pants down at about 1 a.m. Aug. 27. She was given a ride home by a male acquaintance, and police helped her friends get her safely into her apartment.

Germantown police assisted the fire department with 16 rescue calls and one fire call between Aug. 21 and Aug. 28.
