1Police are seeking a 38-year-old man who stole $5,400 from US Bank, N78 W14545 Appleton Ave., at 10:30 a.m. July 23. The suspect was accidentally given $6,000 in error by a bank teller when he was to receive $600. When contacted by the bank, he said it was a bank mistake, that he already spent the money, and then hung up.
2A Ruger .380-caliber ACP pistol was reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 15000 block of Cleveland Avenue between midnight May 4 and 9:55 a.m. Aug. 8. During the investigation, police discovered the victim, a 30-year-old Menomonee Falls man, had an open case in Waukesha County for recklessly endangering safety with a dangerous weapon, and possessing a weapon violated his bail conditions. Police are following up with possible bail jumping charges.
3A woman pushed a cartload of unpaid items out of the café doors at Pick ’n Save, N77 W14435 Appleton Ave., but left the groceries behind when confronted by an employee at about 2:20 p.m. Aug. 9. The suspect fled in a copper colored four door. According to store security, the same suspect shoplifted a cartload of groceries on July 26.
4A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a report of a possible suicidal woman going through heroin withdrawal in the 18300 block of Menomonee Avenue at 10:15 a.m. Aug. 7. After being taken to the hospital for medical treatment, the suspect was also taken into custody for having four traffic related warrants.
5A 41-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI when he was pulled over for driving the wrong way on Silver Spring Drive and Williams Place at about 1:25 a.m. Aug. 7. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.20. He was cited for OWI and driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
6Someone slashed the front passenger side tire on a Plymouth van at Rotary Park, N85 W14201 Fond du Lac Ave., between 12:30 and 2:50 p.m. Aug. 10. Damage to the tire is estimated at $50.
