The Hamilton High School drama department will present the classic “My Fair Lady” from May 4 to 7 at the Hamilton Fine Arts Center (HFAC). Shows are at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The show is based on George Bernard Shaw’s play “Pygmalion,” — with book, music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe. It is the tale of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady and features one of musical theater’s greatest scores.
Songs include “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?,” “With a Little Bit of Luck,” “The Rain in Spain,” ” I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “Get Me to the Church on Time” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students younger than 18 years of age and senior citizens older than age 60. They may be purchased 30 minutes prior to the show at the HFAC box office.
