Blood donors are needed in Waukesha County, as the summer months brought an increase in serious accidents and emergencies, generating an ongoing need for life-saving blood – particularly O negative.

Waukesha County blood donors can donate at BloodCenter of Wisconsin’s upcoming blood drives, at 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 at Schroeder Solutions, 1920 South Calhoun Rd., New Berlin and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 at St. Mary’s Parish, N89 W16215 Cleveland Ave., Menomonee Falls.

Donors can schedule an appointment by calling 1-877-BE-A-HERO (1-877-232-4376), or at bcw.edu.
