The Simpsons
Fox, 8 ET/PT

Lili Taylor in ABC's 'American Crime.'

Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders is the latest to lend her voice to this extremely long-running classic, as Bart once again finds a way to turn punishment into reward — and then punishment. Having misbehaved in school on Grandparents Day, Bart is sentenced to hang out with some local grandmothers. The lesson he learns is that it can be easy to take advantage of the elderly, but it’s never, ever wise. Oh, and there’s a Pokémon spoof thrown in for extra measure.

Superheroes Decoded
History, 9 ET/PT

You can’t swing a Batman these days without hitting some superhero on TV or in the theaters. In this two-part series, History looks at how we got here, starting with an examination of the modern comic book hero. Among those interviewed are Marvel legend Stan Lee, Iron Man director Jon Favreau and Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin.

American Crime
ABC, 10 ET/PT

This exceptional, difficult series, airing its finale tonight, has focused its penetrating gaze on some of the people in our society we tend to overlook, from homeless teenagers caught in the sex trade to the migrant workers who pick our crops. And what happened? Pretty much nobody looked, which counts as both irony and tragedy.
