“The Presidents are Expecting You: a Tour of Presidential Libraries and Museums” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Pauline Haass Public Library, N64 W23820 Main St., Sussex.
Historian William Isbister will highlight libraries and museum run by the U.S. Government, including archives from Presidents Hoover through George W. Bush, and some prior to Hoover. Isbister has visited almost all the presidential libraries and will comment on their collections while showing photographs. This program is presented by the Friends of the Pauline Haass Public Library.

Toilet paper drive
The Sussex branch of Waukesha State Bank, W249 N6688 Highway 164, is hosting a toilet paper drive for the Sussex Food Pantry during April.
Donations of toilet paper may be dropped off in the bank's vestibule, in the designated bin.

The Sussex Outreach Services (SOS) food pantry is located on the ground floor of the Sussex Center, N64 W23760 Main St.
The pantry is in need of the following items: pork and beans, baked beans, chunky soups, cream soups, canned or boxed potatoes, canned chicken, canned carrots, peas, and mixed vegetables, jelly, jam, applesauce and toothpaste. Donations hours are 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. A donation shed, located on the east side of the building, is available for donations made during off hours.
Donors are asked to be aware of the weather when using the shed. Do not leave any item outside the shed. Volunteers to help sort donations are always needed.

The town of Lisbon compost site is open.
The site accepts leaves, grass clippings, brush and branches. A county ordinance prohibits uncovered loads, which come with a $114 fine.
