Kid’s Choice winners announced

The winner of this year’s Waukesha and Jefferson Counties Kids' Choice Award is "The BFG" by Roald Dahl. The runners-up were “Fish in a Tree” by Lynda Mullaly Hunt and “Roller Girl” by Victoria Jamieson. Kids in grades four through six were invited to read and then vote for their favorite books. Visit the library to check out the award winners and other books.

Movies

The film inspired by J.K. Rowling’s book “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will be shown at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, March 30. Moviegoers may bring their own snacks and beverages. Seating is limited. The theater opens 45 minutes before show time.

Family Fun Night

The library will join the Tri-County YMCA for a Dr. Seuss Family Fun Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 31. A Seuss storytime and craft will be presented by library staff. There will be lots of Seuss-themed activities for families to enjoy. This is a free family event. Essential Poe

The story of Edgar Allan Poe will be told at the library at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1. Entertainer William Pack will explore the tragic life of the poet, sharing biographical information, poems and stories. This show is best suited for teens and adults.
