Fish fry

St. Anthony Parish School, will hold a carry-out only fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 24, in the school's Reichling Hall, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls.

Carry-out four-piece dinners are $10, a 16-piece bucket $32. Single items and beverages will be available for $1 to $4 apiece. Two more dine in or carry-out Friday fish fries will be held April 7 and May 5.

Library book sale

The Friends of the Germantown Community Library are holding a spring book sale Thursday, March 23, through Sunday, March 26, at the library, N112 W16957 Mequon Road.

Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 23; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 24; 9 a.m. to 3p.m. Saturday, March 25, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 26, which includes a bag sale. Prices start at 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for hardcovers, with some higher priced books and specialty items.

The Essential Edgar

The story of Edgar Allan Poe will be told at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Menomonee Falls, Public Library, W156 N8436 Pilgrim Road.

Entertainer William Pack will explore the tragic life of the poet with a PowerPoint slide show interspersed with biographical information and Poe's stories and poems. This program is suited for teens and adults.

Wisconsin Singers

The Wisconsin Singers will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 1, in the Menomonee Falls North Middle School auditorium, N88 W16750 Garfield Drive.

Wisconsin Singers is a vocal group with jazz band accompaniment from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Two local members of the group are Alana Woodall of Menomonee Falls and Zach Schickert of Germantown. The evening will feature guest performances by the North Middle School Jazz Ensemble and Pop Strings Orchestra. Tickets for adults are $15 and students and senior citizens are $10.

Off to Paris

Zion Lutheran Church and ministries, N48 W18700 Lisbon Road, Menomonee Falls, will hold its annual gala, “An Evening in Paris” on Saturday, April 1, at North Hills Country Club, N73 W13430 Appleton Ave.,Menomonee Falls.

Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction will be held at 5 p.m., dinner will be at 6:45 p.m., the live program and auction begins at 8:15 p.m. and the checkout opens at 9:45 p.m. Dinner choices are chicken cordon bleu or pan-seared salmon. The cost is $50 per person or $500 for a premier reserved table of 10. RSVP to zioninthefalls.org.
