Ava DuVernay is here to make sure you start Women's History Month right.

Hollywood has a woman problem and, this Wednesday, Ava DuVernay is leading 30 women filmmakers in #tweetingthroughit.

But this isn't a race. It's a Rebel-a-Thon.

That's how DuVernay's distribution company Array refers to the 12-hour Twitter takeover, which kicks off the first day of Women's History Month and highlights the experiences of some of your favorite directors, including A United Kingdom’s Amma Asante, Daughters of the Dust’s Julie Dash and Queen of Katwe’s Mira Nair, among others.

Ava DuVernay talks Oscars, inclusion and reimagining winning at Spirit Awards

For those looking to get in on the conversation — which aims to honor women's contributions behind the scenes, advocate for inclusion in the industry and raise awareness about Array — you can follow along via the hashtag, #ArrayToday.

The cyber event is just the latest effort by 'Queen' DuVernay, who has ardently pushed for greater support for women filmmakers and filmmakers of color, most recently with the OWN drama Queen Sugar, for which she hired all female directors.
