The Schwabenhof restaurant, N56W14750 Silver Spring Drive in Menomonee Falls, is undergoing renovation and will have new operators when it reopens in August.

No fish fries for the time being at the Schwabenhof, the longtime German gathering spot at N56-W14750 Silver Spring Drive in Menomonee Falls. The restaurant kitchen is closed while a new operator prepares to move in.

The Schwabenhof hired the owners of Black Sheep and the Love Shack in Walker’s Point to run the restaurant and operate the banquet hall. The restaurant is expected to reopen in mid-August.

Wes Shaver, co-owner of the Walker’s Point restaurants, said banquets already booked at the Schwabenhof are still on. The center’s commercial kitchen is in operation while the restaurant kitchen is  being renovated.

The previous restaurant operator, JFP Food Services, ended service at the Schwabenhof on June 30 after 31 years, a phone recording said.

Details about the new menu will be released soon, according to Shaver.
